The CPSC along with Health Canada has recalled over 10,500 units after multiple reports of the frame failing to lock in place, causing a serious fall hazard. The stroller, manufactured by Baby Jogger LLC, was sold at many nationwide retailers including BuyBuy Baby as well as online retailers such as albeebaby.com and diapers.com from July 2012 through October 2012. Customers should stop using the product immediately and contact Baby Jogger for a free replacement stroller frame.
The recall includes all City Versa strollers manufactured between May 15 and August 20, 2012. The date of manufacture is printed on the stroller’s black plastic side hinge below “Baby Jogger” and “City Versa. The strollers have charcoal-colored metal frames with black, silver, red or green fabric stroller seats and canopies.
