Blue Ivy Voted Worst Baby Name of 2012

It seems like Bey’s fans aren’t too happy with the unique name she and husband Jay-Z chose for their baby girl. According to theGrio.com BabyNames.com polledits 2,000 members and they voted Blue Ivy the worst celebrity baby girl name of the last year. The worst boy name was Lion (son of Malia Jones and Alex O’Loughlin).

A whopping 47.1 percent of BabyNames.com users didn’t like the couple’s choice. The parents favored more traditional picks like Charlotte Grace for Jenn Schefft’s daughter and Luca Cruz, Hillary Duff’s son for a boy. Celebrities have long been known to give their kids names no one else in their kindergarten class will have, like Erykah Badu’s choices Puma and Mars for her daughters or Seven for her son with Andre 3000.

Jennifer Moss, founder and CEO of BabyNames.com, notices celebrities getting a little less creative. “I think celebrities are becoming a little more sensitive to the fact that the child has to live with his or her name,” she told press.

    Opinions are like assholes we all have one and mine is who gives a damn it’s not your baby so it shouldn’t matter. I positive there are worse names out there then Blue Ivy (which I think is unique and different) names that can’t be pronounced by a lot of people nor sounds like a name. Let her name her child what ever she wants she carried her for nine months every made that baby she can name her Queen Sheba and if shouldn’t matter! If her fans truly Carr they wouldn’t criticize they would just be supportive.. PERIOD
