A 16 year-old Houston, Texas teen, who goes by the name R.E.K on court documents, has set the law on her parents - because they are forcing her to have an abortion, against her will.  A lawyer from Texas Center for Defense of Life, who is representing the young woman has notified the estranged parties that their daughter is now legally protected. To protect R.E.K and her fetus, the courts have issued a temporary restraining order against her parents.

Click 2 Houston highlights:

The lawsuit claims R.E.K.'s parents kept her home from school, took her phone and car and that she, the father of her child and the child's paternal grandmother have been harassed by her father. It also claims R.E.K.'s mother suggested she was going to slip her daughter the abortion pill.

This reproductive health case brings to life Roe Vs. Wade, which centered around a single mother who challenged criminal abortion laws in Texas.

Interesting Fact: Did you know under Bellotti v. Baird, teenagers have the right to make decisions about their reproductive health.

In case you aren’t aware; to give a pregnant female the plan B pill puts her at risk for loss of pregnancy or severe birth defects. Your lack of education about this doesn’t fit with the specifics of this medication and the evil threat a pregnant teen’s mother made regarding her unborn grandchild!!!

I am aware. However, Plan B is not the abortion pill. Where is the lack of education in stating a fact?

No doctor would give Plan B to abort a baby. They would give them Mifepristone, a different drug.

All the OP was saying was that the pill originally pictured isn’t the abortion pill.

I don’t think the parents should force an abortion on their daughter; however, they do have the right to say they will not support their daughter’s choice.
