Every kid wants to stay up late during school vacation but one kid took it too far. MSNBC says Dan Davis, age 10, of Brockton, Massachusetts begged his mom to let him stay up later. When mom Shamayne Rosario said no, he threatened to call the police—and made good on it.
At about 8 p.m. last night, little Dan called the police but lost his nerve when the dispatcher answered and hung up. Shortly after, the police called back to check on the situation and Rosario answered. She explained the situation to the dispatcher but the police came to her home anyway. A family friend said Dan was terrified when the police showed up. Before the police left, Rosario asked the officer to speak to her son about the importance of using 911 for emergencies only. Rosario plans to punish her son, starting with two weeks of grounding.
