The always outspoken singer Tamar Braxton got vocal on Good Morning America this morning about being a new mother. She and her husband Vincent Herbert were also celebrating their three-page spread in Us Weekly that shows them at home with their sweet two-month old son Logan. Tamar shared a photo of the spread on her Instagram.
In her interview, she said what many feel about new motherhood but don't share--that it doesn't automatically click. She said she spent the first week and a half of little Logan's life passing on diaper duty to daddy because she didn't feel like she knew how to be a mother. She wanted to feel close to her baby but had a hard time, especially since she had trouble breastfeeding at first. Tamar also explained baby Logan and her husband connected instantly, sharing a bond she was a little jealous of." And then it clicked. When Logan finally latched on, I felt like he got me and I finally got him and it was all meant to be." It couldn't have been easy for Tamar to talk about the uneasy path to bonding with her baby but we're glad she did. Plenty of new moms feel what Tamar felt, but think they're alone and just kinda deal with the shame.
