Kalisha Madden, 27, has been missing for 10 months. Does her name ring a bell? Probably not. I’m sure Casey Anthony, Laci Peterson and Stacey Peterson rings one.
Kalisha Madden was last seen getting into a car with three men on November 28, 2011. She was leaving the Vegas Strip Club, 6609 Michigan Avenue, at 3:00 a.m. The black, single mother of 6 is an exotic dancer. Her profession seems to be overwhelmingly emphasized in every story that has covered her disappearance. Why is that? Is that in some way to devalue Kalisha? Some may say, “Oh you’re being to sensitive,” but when Robyn Gardner disappeared on a trip to Aruba a few months before Kalisha went missing, the media rarely mentions that Robyn went on this trip with a man that pursued her on an escort site.
Kalisha Madden is more than just an exotic dancer. She is a daughter. The mother of six children. Someone’s BFF. A sister. Instead of her family and friends planning to celebrate her 29th birthday that’s coming up on January 1st, there will be no celebration. Just heavy hearts. Her disappearance IS important.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of Kalisha Madden, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAKUP.
