Ever since I was a little girl, my community has been an important part of my life. We know every single person on our block…and even some of their close relatives. If someone in the neighborhood is sick, my mom makes them a huge pot of her famous chicken soup. We’ve all got each other’s backs. In a way, we’re like one, big family.
